6 Juices for Tiredness & Low Adrenals

Large numbers of people suffer from fatigue that is not relieved by rest and sleep. This is one indicator that the adrenals are stressed and not functioning well. Stress plays a big part in exhausting the adrenal glands. Stress also affects the liver leading to low orotic acid production. Deficiency of orotic acid causes calcium to be high. This may also interfere with protein synthesis and inhibit replication of cells. This leads to fatigue and low blood sugar. Low adrenal function can contribute to this problem in that the adrenal glands regulate mineral levels. Mineral levels would not be abnormal if the adrenals were functioning properly. (Do not take cod liver oil if your calcium is high.)

Prebiotics, Probiotics & Gut Health

Prebiotics, Probiotics & Gut Health

Prebiotics, Probiotics & Gut Health

Prebiotics are non-digestible carbohydrates (fiber) that induce the growth of beneficial microorganisms (probiotics) in the gut. In the gastrointestinal tract prebiotics can feed probiotics. Prebiotics are typically Inulin fibers that are not digested in your small intestine; therefore, they make it into your colon where they serve as food for the probiotics.

Probiotics benefit your hormones as well as your intestinal tract. Various studies have discovered that prebiotics can aid in weight loss and even help to reduce stress. If you lack prebotic fiber, then probiotics are not as likely to help your digestive system because the prerequisite material is absent. Probiotics help to control the harmful bacteria population of the gut. Research has shown that higher intakes of prebiotic foods can increase numerous probiotic microorganisms, including Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, L. reuteri, bifidobacteria, and certain strains of L. casei or the L. acidophilus-group.

Detox: Your Key to Health and Weight Loss

Detoxification means cleansing your blood. This is done by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymphatic system, and skin. But when these systems are compromised or overloaded with toxins and waste, impurities aren’t properly filtered and the body is under duress.

I recently listened to Joel Osteen on SiriusXM as I was driving. He told the story of a remote village in Africa where the people suddenly started getting very sick, some even died. A team of investigators were sent out from the closest major city to determine what was making the people sick. When they tested the water, they found that it was contaminated. They looked and looked for the source of the contamination but could not find it. Finally, they sent divers up the mountain to the source of the stream to see what they could find. They discovered that a mother pig and her piglets had fallen in and drowned. They were stuck right at the opening where the water flowed out.

Healthy Homemade Meals for Dogs

Healthy Homemade Meals for Dogs

My purpose in teaching about  juicing and healthy eating is to help you prevent disease and/or heal your body if you lose your health.

Being a dog lover, I also long to see the same for our little furry friends. Last week my neighbor gave me a report on healthy eating for dogs and how this helps prevent cancer in dogs. In a 2005 study of Scottish Terriers with bladder cancer called transitional cell carcinoma (TCC), those dogs that got veggies three times a week or more had a decreased risk of cancer, and carrots were the most common vegetable given. In this particular study, Scotties that ate more green leafy vegetables and yellow-orange vegetables had a decreased risk of TCC. A staggering 1 in 1.65 dogs and 1 in 3 cats will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
